Take a look at why the land of beer and waffles is such a popular choice among young expats.

Young expats are choosing Belgium because they don't know anything about it.Until they arrive they think they are going to a civilized European country, but as they start to live there they will see what kind of great big mistake they've done.

I personally had very very disappointing stay there in Belgium. It was my biggest mistake to think that I will be operated in the middle of Europe and thought the medical personnel would be as professional as an American,English,German or French, whom I worked with in military hospitals together.

But I was wrong cause these doctors in Belgium they don't know anything about INFORMED CONSENT.

Actually my life turned in to a nightmare because of the surgery supposed to be a simple surgery under local anesthesia.

No I am handicapped and lost %45 of my working ability.

Besides none of these people who were in charge wants to claim responsibility. The hospital Saint Pierre in Brussels and Order of Physicians of Belgium are turning a blind eye to this situation.

This kind of treatment is only can be seen in the Planet of the Apes.Expats should beware of these amateurs in Belgium hospitals.
