Hello, I am Renee Michel from Sacramento, California.
I am a year and a half in planning my move. I kept track of my progress on Facebook

I have many questions as I am just several months away from moving. I researched and found that I would like living in the area of Liberia. I have a certificate to teach English and just retired from teaching elementary school. So, I still have an active teaching credential. I am bringing many boxes of books with me and trying to get rid of many other useless things.
***what would you suggest - things to get rid of - things to keep. Yes, I am already getting rid of my winter clothing LOL Laughing
***looking for a good bank/one with low transfer fees
***how much is internet service/what computers would you suggest? I am looking to continue my online art business
***about having an online business - how does one go about that in Costa Rica? Taxes, business licenses?
***CAJA versus Cigna health insurance
***need to purchase a car/truck
***looking to purchase a small house/need to rent something first
***things to watch out for/cautions
Yes, I have many more questions! I am studying up on my Spanish but will not arrive with high skills in speaking. However, I am well adapted to traveling in different countries and blend in well. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated! Exclamation

Hello all,
I look forward to residing in Costa Rica in the not to distant future. I operate a Home Based business and would appreciate understanding the regulations and tax ramifcations of this in CR. Looking forward to beginning this journey by renting a small flat on or close to the beach...any suggestions as to where I may begin my journey to discover the perfect location to eventually reside? A good friend will assist with the necessary paper work in order to establish eventual residency. I am open to other opportunities and can be found on Linkedin and Twitter. Recently arrived at the 6th decade mark on Planet Earth, an avid outdoorsman in well above average physical condition.
