Our client is seeking qualified and non-qualified Hammerhands for full-time permanent roles in cities such as Christchurch, Auckland and Queenstown.

We are a FREE service.

You will be involved in residential, commercial and infrastructure projects (depending on experience).

Ideal candidates will have a wide range of experience on both commercial and residential sites, including 1st and 2nd fix and high-ending finishing and have at least 3 years full-time experience.

A CV is a must. You must also be able to provide written references and an oral reference will be taken as part of the process.

Permanent fulltime contracts are on offer. You will be “on the books” as opposed to working self-employed meaning you will enjoy 4 weeks paid annual leave, and your employer pays a levy to cover health insurance and contributes to your retirement savings scheme

Starting rate for qualified carpenters in New Zealand is $20 – 26 NZD per hour (dependant on skills, qualifications and experience).

You must supply your own hand-tools and will likely need a vehicle to transport yourself to your worksite.

Opportunities are on-going and start dates are flexible – Our client will provide you with relocation advice including visas, shipping, insurance, banking, money transfer and support before you arrive in New Zealand.
