1st time Greece beach holiday late September 19-25

Post Posted: Mon Sep 11, 2017 11:45 am

Hello! I am hoping to go with my father and brother to our first Greek beach holiday in 10 days, Sept 19-25. Are there any places that you can think of that 1.) will have sea-temperatures not less than 24 or 23 Celsius? 2.) will be likely to have more warm and sunny days than cold and rainy ones? 3.) Are not too far away from an airport, and can be reached from that airport by a relatively smooth and well-maintained road (a concern because I have head and neck injuries) and finally 4.) are not too bare, and may have some pine trees around for shade and beauty? Thank you so much for any recommendations or suggestions!!!
Please Help !
Thanks !

Crete has two airports Heraklion and Chania. Santorini is also very nice. All of these airports have direct flights from the UK. Even if you come through Athens as a transfer passenger it shouldn't be a problem. It's best to avoid Athens and its beaches as there has been a very recent oil spill. Santorini is a small island if you want to avoid driving long distances. Alternatively, you can go to Heraklion and stay mostly within the city. Heraklion has two large hospitals, something useful to someone who has your health problems.
