Pilates Studio in the Dordogne

Post Posted: Sat May 12, 2018 11:03 am

Hi, this is my/our first posting on ExpatFocus and we hope some of you kind, knowledgeable contributors out there may be able to steer us in the right direction with regards to us opening a new Pilates studio in the Dordogne area.

Having now taken the decision to move to this region later this year (precise location still to be decided but somewhere between Eymet and Sarlat) we thought it might be useful to see what demand is likely to be for a new Pilates studio, similar in set-up to the one my wife (www.pippawylde.com) currently operates here in Hampshire? As a former London Royal Ballet soloist, Pippa is used to using large scale professional Pilates equipment (and ballet barre) unlike most rurally based instructors who appear to offer mainly Pilates matwork exercise. It would be interesting to hear feedback or thoughts on likely demand for this type of Pilates offering within the Dordogne region. When we eventually find a property to purchase its very likely that we'll permanently set-up a studio in a converted barn or similar, or perhaps in a town location if this proves to be a better option.

Our move to France is likely to take place in October 2018 and we'll be arriving back in France shortly from June 9th for 3 weeks, viewing properties and also hoping to find a 6 month rental (whilst we look for our new home) from October to April 2019 - location south and/or east of Bergerac roughly between Monflanquin and Sarlat. Any help/feedback/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Gary55 just to say I've only just joined this site and having looked at all the posts with nobody bothering to reply. I won't be back. If I were you I'd join Britishexpats or a site that actually works - like I'm going to. As homer would say - this sucks.
