Dentist Advice Needed: Full Mouth Restoration

Post Posted: Fri Feb 15, 2008 4:49 pm

I live in Canada and have just discovered I require extensive dental work (Full Mouth Restoration which will include at least two implants). The bill here will be on the order of $45,000 - $55,000!

My friends recommend Thailand as an alternative.

Has anyone had a FMR done in there? Your advice will be greatly appreciated as to quality of dentists and cost. Can anyone recommend a skilled dentist capable of doing this kind of work?

All advice gratefully accepted.

Zagwerty. There are many well trained excellent dentists in Thailand.... AND you will fall in love with both the amazing country & lovely people.

However, having just started to research dental tourism myself, it would seem that Hungary is considerably cheaper than Thailand, & Italy more so, although the dental tourism there is not so well publicised as Hungary.

On your side of the globe, Costa Rica is the cheapest of the lot.

Never had an FMR in Thailand but having lived there for 3 years, I'd recommend Thantakit International Dental Center in Bangkok. Had my regular treatments done there (oral prophylaxis, whitening and root canal) and was extremely satisfied. The dentists were very professional and didn't rip me off. They're fluent in English as most of them studied abroad. If you decide to, make sure to visit Phuket or Krabi's astounding beaches!

It seems the OP posted exactly the same question in 4 other subforums: India, Costa Rica, Mexico and Singapore. People replied in all but Mexico. He never acknowledged any of them.
