Can I trust Property Management Agencies?

Post Posted: Wed Mar 15, 2006 4:59 pm

Hi all,

I am currently looking at buying a second property as a buy-to-let investment. My target market will be short-term holiday rentals, and I am planning on hiring the services of a property rental management company. However a few friends have warned me about untrustworthy agencies that rent out properties without declaring the income to the property owner. I don’t want to fall victim to this scam.

Has anybody had this type of experience?
Is this a justified concern?
Can you recommend any trustworthy agencies?

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

There are good companies out there, again do your reseach, go on recommendation, look for customer comments, in guest books.

It is bad pr to sub let a place and not tell the owner, most people have there places with more than one agent, so it would be impossible not to be found out at some point.

Regards

Sue

Hi Andy,

There are some companies out there that have been know to do this and we have just taken over several properties where this has happened.
However not all companies are like this and like us try hard to help owners rent thier places after all this is how we make money too.
Check out our website www.rentcyprusrent.co.uk it lists all the services we offer and you can see how we arrange rentals etc.
If you want advice on anything inc best areas types of property to rent please contact me.
Helen
