The whole long line on the left is Peter's tool bar, he could move it to the bottom, or top, or right of the screen if he wanted.

Hi

You miss the point i choose my desktop but i am having Facebook, Twitter ect in my space. Just how much advertising space do these people want, or need?

Peter

I get your point Peter, I was just explaining to Bergy why he hasn't got the whole line of icons on the left like yourself. I agree with what your saying about social media buttons but I, like Richard, don't get them and it seems we're both using Adblock Plus.

Now we have something even more annoying with a wretched ad popping up at the bottom of the screen for Expat Insurance.

Reading this thread, I took the advice of downloading Adblock plus and it hasn't helped one iota. In fact it has brought a further problem. Now whenever I open Expatfocus, the homepage is covered with a display of five ads rotating round.

Thankfully there are other forums.

Thanks for the call to action.

Open the Adblock Plus toolbar button and select 'Block element'. It will then ask you to click on the offending item which will then create a custom blocking rule. Keep doing that with the bits you don't like until it's a cleaner screen.
