Seeking advice and guidance for moving to live in Morocco

Post Posted: Mon Mar 25, 2019 5:43 pm

Greetings,

I am in the process of moving to Morocco from the USA and I am looking for advice and guidance for a successful smooth transition.

I specifically need to know more about:
1- Bank accounts: Which banks do you use/recommend? What type of accounts should I open to be able to move money easily in/out of Morocco? Are there any saving accounts worth having to make passive income in Morocco? And any useful information you may have will be much appreciated.
2- Where are the best and not so expensive places to live in Rabat, Mohammedia, Essaouira, Agadir, or elsewhere, where one can connect with a community of expats?
3- What do you use for healthcare insurance? What hospitals would you recommend?
4- How about overall insurance coverage to protect you and your belongings, including, vehicles, home, etc.
5- Are there any investments in Morocco that are great for expats?
6- And most importantly how to connect and make new friends within the expats community and among the locals!

Your input is much appreciated!

Thank you,

Najoo
