Biological compost

Post Posted: Wed Aug 28, 2019 10:24 pm

HI All

My local garden centre no longer sells Biological compost the type sold in large plastic bags. I don't want horse manure it must be normal compost but Biological. 80lt bags would be best for my need.

Does anybody in the Coimbra area know where i may get some.

Peter

Leroy do 50 litre bags at €8.49 if that's any help Peter.

"Siro Horta is a special substrate for planting a wide range of vegetables and fruit trees. Its balanced formula is obtained from selected, sustainable and natural raw materials. It is enriched with a biological organic fertilizer - with extra nitrogen, rich in essential nutrients, which gradually release favoring plant development. View more"

BUT

The view more does say that includes horse manure. Seems to be mainly Pine bark and peat though.

"Siro Agro 1 (Pine Bark Humus - RAL Certified), Blonde Sphagnum Peat, Siro Agro 2 (Matured Horse Manure) and Animal Organic Fertilizer."

Hi Jetlagged

Thanks that may be the answer. After cooking in the oven at 200c for 20 minutes that should do for what i need it for.

The reason i said about horse manure is i didn't want replies about someone who has a horse.

Thanks

Peter
