Learning the language

Portuguese is so hard to learn. The pronunciation is so different and the verb endings are hard to remember. I haven't managed to get there yet, bI'm sure it will be a bit easier when I have the language around me.

I'm really pleased. I'd been learning Portuguese on my own, so the hard way to do it and we came to Portugal this summer. Although I only know the basics, I was able to understand some things and was able to communicate a bit in shops and bars.

As a Portuguese I need to let you know that's not easy learn portuguese if your first language is a germanic one.
We have a difficult pronunciation, we are not so clear when we speak daily. Off course the internet courses help you to learn some basics but then in a real situation it gets hard to understand us.
I would recommend you to learn with someone in the real word with real situations.
Also, a lot of people start with the portuguese brazilian and tell me that is easiest.
