I'm somewhat confused by this thread...are you using the same account to talk to each other? In any event I'm not sure that this is really on topic (enough) for an expat board...

Jamie

Hi Rod

We are all expats or about to be expats. PC's are a great baine of our life and a real life line to many moving abroad. There is often no one to turn to due to language barriers and I for one would not have a clue who to ask in Vale da Telha, anymore perhaps someone would in Central Portugal.

It is like asking gardening questions or cookery recipes.

Where will you draw the line? This is not a political debate just sharing info between members.

I tried to delete this duplicate email post to keep PC issues under one heading. But without success.

Many Thanks

Sorry piglet, I've now seen the other thread and it is of course perfectly acceptable. I just saw what looked like a very odd conversation and immediately thought it must be related to some kind of forum spamming or other unwanted behaviour (which, unfortunately, is usually the case with other posts which seem out of place). That, together, with the fact that I was just about to leave to take my mother to the hospital (genuinely, I'm not making this up!) led to a rather unwarranted response on my part.

In short, apologies for the earlier post, you're a very valuable member of the Expat Focus forums and didn't deserve the rather curt response given previously.

Kind regards,

Jamie

Hi Rod

Not a problem at all. I have to admit I was a little surprised, but I know a lot of "weird stuff" can go on, so you are well to be on you guard.

The matter was exacerbated by the fact I then made a separate post which I then tried to delete...The purpose being to keep all related PC topics together.
Rod, I am an absolutely hopeless case when it comes to the wee beast that controls my life (no not my husband) my PC Laughing Laughing

Kindest Regards
Carole

PS Keep up the very good work we have all made a lot of friends in VDT through this site
