Help wanted re Oliva Tennis Club URGENT!

Post Posted: Sun Jun 25, 2006 11:21 pm

Hi, not much time I know, but we are hoping to buy in La Drova (near Gandia on the Costa del Azahar) as soon as our UK house has sold. I have just found that the tennis court at the poliusporto (advertised on property details as excellent and well run) doesn't open until August! We are coming out for a two week visit on Monday 30th June and hope to play and meet local tennis afficionados. I know there is a tennis club in Oliva which looks more ex-pat friendly than the one in Gandia, which seems very Spanish, very pukka!

Does anybody happen to know this club (from what I have heard quite a lot of local ex-pat groups use it as a social gathering place ) and whether it would be possible to turn up and "pay and play" for two weeks. Our Spanish (and our tennis!! ) isn't really good enough to cold call them and we need to know whether to pack our racquets!
Many thanks, Suzi
