I think he will be hung when he gets back to MUFC. I saw a video of him lightly headbutting Rooney before the match and him whispering something to him, and also when Rooney had been sent off Ronaldo winked at one of his team mates. He is in serious trouble I think with the UK fans. Theres a site now called ihateronaldo.com!!

I know what a p***k I hated him since the last world cup, cant remember which match it was either Ireland/England and he had all the same antics, I said to my OH when the match started that he was a p***k and he couldnt remember him, by the end of the match he did tho, I thought they played really well despite it but as usual came down to penelties, believe me there were some tears in our house that evening. And the same the next day when watching Beckhams speech especially from my daughter as she luurves Becks. I think the ref was bent as well, I couldnt believe it when he disallowed that penelty 'cos the goal keeper wasnt ready' Evil or Very Mad
well maybe next time Very Happy

I call it comeuppance. I think rooney is the p***k actually. the guy has an serious attitude problem. he was out of order with iker casillas in the last
euro championships, if I remember well, pushing the guy into the railings. absolutely no need for it. yet another case of an oik with the probable IQ of a waterboatman being given inordinate amounts of cash, a flash car & adulatory media coverage. makes me want to chunder, but why should I care? I'm not an england fan. lovely to see it all end in tears really. the cava tasted great.

Hi, Macmaghnusa I usually support Ireland as well but as they were not in this years world cup I supported England, as I normally do once Ireland are kicked out.

Personally I think that was a complete accident on Rooneys part as he wasnt even looking.

I cant understand the scots, Irish and Welsh who are pleased to see England go home it all seems rather bitter but perhaps I'm nieve and think the whole world should live in peace and harmony.

I hope Germany wins now.

I don't think that was on purpose .... how many times have you seen players off balance tread on another player who has tackled him ... often happens

bitterness? oh' I don't think so raquel. I can't see england fans ever cheering on the scots & the welsh, not even in europe. & ireland is an entirely different bag. no sane british person should ever expect their support. most spaniards I've spoken to think it's strange that the UK can field 3 'national sides', yet in the olympics, marbles & tiddly-winks, everybody is under one glorious flag. maybe it's 'cos they see things going that way here with cataluña & the pais vasco pushing for more autonomy. I tell them it might be something to do with the fact that the game was invented in england, therefore a sort of special status for the mighty nation etc... as regards rooney's sending off. that's the way the cookie crumbles. sometimes things go in your favour, other times they don't. I just object to his oikish attitude & contorted, flushed face. as I said before, a waterboatman with dosh.
