Hi Kim,
Welcome to Holland. I am from the U.S. and have been here 2.5 years with my dutchie. We live near Amstelveen/Aalsmeer. I know there are lots of expats in the Rotterdam area. I have a yahoo group of expat women who are living here in Holland and we have a couple of members who live in Rotterdam. If you are interested, please let me know. We do meet for lunches/shopping and we are a very busy group of women via emails in the group.

There is an english speaking expat group in Rotterdam that is multi-national and not attached to any of the embassies. Called InTouch Rotterdam and you can visit their website and send an enquiry at www.intouchnl.com. The membership has mainly families but all sorts of events outside of family are organised. I am in Rotterdam and belong to the group - a life saver, been here for 2 years this month.
