Moving to Leipzig

Post Posted: Wed Aug 30, 2006 4:01 pm

Hi - I am planning to move to Leipzig at the end of the year and was wondering if anyone had any info they could supply about possible pitfalls - I have sought advice on applying for residency, etc... and that all seems straightforward - but any tips would be handy. I am a UK citizen.

Also, part of my business (self-employed) is selling insurance, mainly online and was wondering if anyone knows the insurance regulations for selling in Germany? Do you need to be licensed?

Many thanks

I have been living in Leipzig for some 6 years or so and I liked it a lot (but I´m German...). Be prepared for the accent and people unwilling or unable to understand English.
No idea about the insurance part. Would be surprised if there weren´t some regulations Smile
