Calling cards in Netherlands?

Post Posted: Mon Jul 18, 2005 4:41 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy calling cards or ''scratchcards'' to call cheap overseas. I have been asking around a bit here in Holland but no one seems to know what I am asking for.

In Canada they are very common and you buy them from any convenience store. The calling card comes with a code that you use to acess a tollfree number, once accessed you can dial anywhere in the world for the fee of the card issuer,(Much cheaper than calling direct), until the amount of the card is finished.

Does anybody know if they exist in Holland?

I haven't seen them, but then again I've never looked for them either. However, if they do exist I would say they're certainly not in common usage.

One (probably obvious) question...have you tried Skype?

Cheers,

Jamie

why not just use Tele 2 or similar??

their cheap and you dont pay a monthly amount to them - just the calls that you make...

Why not get your mobile phone unlocked and buy a local sim card ?
