Posted: Mon Nov 28, 2005 9:46 pm
Hi,
Can someone help me in getting some information about:
1- Name or website of DIY companies near Varna, Burgas
2- If you transferred money to Bulgaria’s banks or if you bought a house and sold it then can you get your money out of the country
3- Can one open a bank account in a Bulgarian bank from the uk, if yes do you know a Bulgarian bank in the uk
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, As far as I know you have to apply in person at a bank branch in BG to open an a/c. We have two a/c's and had to produce passports in person to open them, but they can be run from the UK via the internet once opened. Check that a web a/c is possible using a particular bank as they don't all do them or some do but only have sites in cyrallic!

Hi Dave
Dont know much about DIY places over there, but if you ever need reliable and skilled workers anywhere around the Varna area I have some I can recommend - they have been doing up my place in Kavarna and I cannot praise them enough, anything from refurbs to new build.
