Thailand: the Immigration-officials forget to smile

Post Posted: Fri Sep 12, 2008 1:38 pm

Very Happy I can understand that this face is difficult to put every day, but dear female officer please try to use at least this one: Smile

After a very bad experience due too the personal interpretation of an official after the famous crack-down on visa-runs in October a couple of years ago, which has been corrected from their side afterwards because they were wrong, but not in my favour.

This year again a very bad taste concerning their "hospitality" and "flexibility":

during the yearly ordeal to extend my non-immigrant O and producing work-permit, photo's (this time four!?) which on the spot happily has been glued in the big Thai Farang-family album I combined my visit with my three-monts show (smiling) face and, because I had to fly-out suddenly, to ask kindly if I may leave the country and if they are willing to let me in coming back.

Well, at least the fee for that was reduced to 1.000 Baht.

I have to visit Immigration again at October 7 to hear the "result" of my kind plee to be admitted to spend more of my money in this country.

As I planned to fly back after the 7th I begged kindly to extend the result-data but no way! So, fly backwards and forewards for more than 40.000 Baht. TIT, the LOS (This Is Thailand, the Land Of Smiles)
