Parking

Post Posted: Wed Dec 14, 2005 1:32 am

Hi,
As I will be travelling quite often to Sofia next year building a house near Borovets, I am thinking of taking a car over to reduce the cost of car hire. Someone told me it is possible to park a car at the airport at reasonable rates. Does anyone know of this facility.
Thanks

Hi
Sounds a funny idea,is parking not possible at the place you will be staying? I have always managed to park in the city, Sofia and Varna.
The airport , I found was quite difficult to find, might just be me , but there are no signs for the airport and i drove around for ages trying to find it, finally asking a taxi if he could lead me to it,what a plonka

Hi stratmannn
I dont know exactly where you are near Borovets but is it worth considering leaving a car at your house and catching a train from Sofia and then a taxi from the nearest train station to your house? I can't get information on train fares but a coach from Sofia to Plovdiv is 10 Leva so I presume the train is similar. It is certainly a lot cheaper than car hire!
