Anyone coming to Pamporovo for Xmas

Post Posted: Sun Dec 11, 2005 9:45 pm

Question Is anyone coming to Pamporovo or anywhere in the Rhodipi Mountains for Xams and New Year? If so, would you like to meet up with us for coffee or a drink. Our family were coming over but have decided to wait until my Feb when my hubby will hit the big 50.... This will be our first Christmas over here and we would like to get together with other expats for the festive season.
Also can anyone bring some PG tips over please. We have to travel to Plovdiv to get some and we are running out fast.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
The snow is falling, it is very thick .

That will be great, ask them to contact us . Our e mail address is timblin @ btinternet.com
The sunshine is great today, the snow is glistening, and it is a lot warmer than yesterday, which was freezing. Which village is your house in, ours is Chokmanovo. Do you ski? we are just learning.
Happy Christmas to you, have a good one.
Di and Allan

Hi Di,

We only tried to ski once at sheffield ski village with disasterous results, too many casualties and not enough first aiders, that was on a dry ski run.

However there is a place close to us called Xscape which is an indoor ski slope with real snow and an ice wall for climbers, we may give that a go.

I spoke to my sister she will bring the PG Tips but cannot get any chimps, as they smell in the suitecase after a while.

Our house is in Kutela and my sister and her husband may be staying there part of the time, i have given her your e-mail address but she is very busy at the moment.

Do you know any Bulgarians who would like a pen pal in England my wife is really keen to improve her lanuage and written skills, if so she can be contacted at snowysdenuk @ aol.com or snowysdenuk @ hotmail.com

If there is anything else you need just ask.

Thanks for the PG tips, never mind the chimp, it a baby Yorkshire Terrier I want for Xmas!, can't see me getting one though.
I have a Bulgarian friend called Dimitar who speaks excellent English, and will get his e mail address and send it to you.
It is snowing here and once again we are stuck in our village, we really should park the car at the top of the lane, never mind . Have to get to Smoylan in the next two days though or or electric will be cut off!
Can't wait to meet you and your family, at the way you are going on you dry ski runs you will be better than us.My hubby is just finishing the new room he has made in time for Chrimbo, then we can go to Pamporovo and fall down the slopes.
Take care

Hi Di,
Thank you for getting dimitar to contact us, apparently he also knows some friends of ours in Smolyan.

Have you met up with my sister yet? it is snowing here very deep for England 50mm or 2 inches in old money, everyone told not to go out unless its vital if it snows much more i think there will be a national emergency.

Thats good old England for you it snows for a couple of hours and the country comes to a standstill.

All the best for the New Year
