somewhere to stay in Varna?

Post Posted: Mon Dec 19, 2005 2:25 am

I will be visiting Varna/Balchik area after Christmas and wondered if anyone could recommend a hotel maybe with some indoor facilities(pool etc) for my stay. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi

When I went out last April I stayed at the City Planet Park hotel (or something like that) opposite the Park in Varna

It did not have a pool, but it has a gym of sorts and massage facilities plus bar and restaurant

hope it helps - if you just want a cheapy cheapy place in the centre then I stay in the Siesta Hotel

Don't know if it will be open right now, but the Golden Yavor in Golden Sands resort area is cheap off season and has a wonderfully heated indoor pool, a spa and gym. You can take a bus out of the main part of Varna for a few levs.

As far as i know , the only hotel in GS open all year is the Pliska, but lots of prostitutes around after about 7pm, but I enjoyed staying in the hotel, as I was on my own, the staff kept asking me to go to the disco with them and made me feel welcome.Think you would do much better in Varna if you can find a good cheap one
