Car Insurer Recommendations?

Anyone have any good recommendations for Car Insurance companies (especially for dealing with expats) in Ontario? Suggestions gratefully received.

Hi jeepinaldo,

As a personal reference, our family has used Pilot Insurance Company for many moons - National group of brokers.

They are the Broker as opposed to being the end Insurer (which would be determined at the regional-level), and I can attest to many happy years of service provided to most of my extended family.

I indicate this reply as a personal reference because I am unfamiliar with them from the perspective of a Relocation service provider, or whether they have specific Expatriate services or focus.

Take a look at their site, www.pilot.ca, and if you see a fit for you then you can 'Find a Local Broker' from there.

As far as the particular rates, the industry is highly regulated here, and most Broker Brands will offer similar rates and/or services accordingly.

(The variable then usually boils down to how you feel about Customer service when things need to be handled well.)

Best of luck,

Paul-F
