Anyone Living in Agadir (Canadian perhaps)

Post Posted: Tue Mar 13, 2007 1:44 am

Hello,

I'm a Canadian living in Agadir and I'm searching for other people who live in Agadir to chat with or meet. I've been living here for almost a year and I don't really no anyone. So far I've heard that a lot of English speaking people live in either Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech or Fez. Guess I'm living in the wrong city! Anyway I'm 24 and my husband is Moroccan so it would be nice to meet some other people. Even if you don't live in Agadir it would still be nice to chat.

Hi,

I have lived in Agadir from 1990 to 1996 and I was a student at ISIAM, in quartier Dakhla. It is a Moroccan Canadian school of Management. At that time there were quite a few Canadians teaching there. It is probably no longer the case but it would not hurt to just pay them a visit and see if they have any ties with the Canadian community in Agadir.

Best wishes

Hi

Thanks for the reply. You know I live in Dakhla, Fidya. Isn't that a coincidence!! Isiam like you said is just around the corner and I've actually been there. I was looking to teach there becuase I know they have connections with certain Canadian Universitites. Anyway, I'll probably go back down and see if they have some contacts that I can get in touch with.

Thanks for letting me know,

R.L

I know that this has been posted for almost a year now, but I moved to Agadir 7 months ago to live with my Moroccan husband and am also 24 yrs old and looking for English speaking friends. I'm American, not Canadian, but I think that some differences can be overlooked Wink If you're still in town and don't have quite enough friends yet, let me know and I'll send my email address. Cheers.
