Looking for help bringing cat to Panama!!
I could really use advice about bringing a cat from Canada to Panama!
My husband and I are planning on checking out Panama as a permanent home. We have been to Costa Rica many times and loved it, but pricing is getting out of hand as well as tourists etc... so we thought Panama might be what we are looking for.
My problem is that I have a cat, and simply can not leave her behind!! Our plan is to go to Panama for 6 months before returning back to Canada to file paperwork etc, if we have decided Panama is for us.
Has anyone brought their cat from Canada lately?? How did it work with the flights ( stopovers etc..) and also, Im curious what to do about the fact that they require a 1 month home quarintine period. We will be staing put for the first month so that shouldn't be a problem, but do I have to provide any paperwork stating where we will be staying? Also, if we decide to make the move to panama, I don't want to have to fly my cat back to Canada for a short few weeks.... My parents are also moving to Panama, so I could leave her with them. Is this doable or will they want to know where the cat is?? I thought of telling them she died??!!!
Any help at all is totally appreciated.
Thanks so much!
