Bringing a pet from UK to Morocco and then back again

Post Posted: Sat Jun 30, 2007 4:09 pm

Question Has anyone out ther brought their pet from the UK to Morocco and then later returned back to the UK?

Morocco is outside the EU pet passport list of countries which make it a bit more complicated. We were in Morocco before and people seemed to be travelling freely with their pets into mainland Europe. But UK and Ireland have stricter regulations.

I am trying to get my head around them at the moment and would value the advice of some one who had completed the journey successfully.

My specific questions are:
What happens at the borders - France, spain, morrocco, uk?
What happens with the ferry companies?
Do you have to wait 6 months after you leave Morocco on the European mainland before you can bring the animal into the uk?

Thanks
