Hi folks

How are things, how are you getting on with the snow

Have you got electricity

Are you cut off

Seen wecams of Albena and Russe etc, looks pretty bad

So shovels in hand, Hope you are all ok

Black Sea ports in Bulgaria and Romania have been closed to traffic.

Most flights to and from Bulgaria's Sofia airport were cancelled on Wednesday.

The snow also left more than 300 Bulgarian towns and villages without electricity and blocked numerous roads. Some villages have also been cut off from deliveries of food and fresh water.

Thoughts for..
The 10 BG sailors and Rumanian pilot in the Kersh strait 4 BG sailors lost at the moment

Well I was hoping to come for a month in a week but at the moment I wouldn't be able to get to my house - I hope the snow retreats soon, although it looks very pretty in photos a friend sent!

I [well, not me the plane did lol] flew into Sofia airport on Jan 3rd. drive home was a nightmare - took us about 5 hours when it we usually do it in about 3 hours. was told that the flights the day before were diverted to Skopje in Yugoslavia then the passengers were bussed to Sofia. must've been a nightmare for them. All snow is gone now though down here in Pet Mogili. the last 2 days have been lovely and sunny - cold crisp weather's a real tonic.
take care
