Yep we are suffering on that one, I only hope that when the time comes to sell this house we get some of that money paid in the UK..

Our advice is that it will go to 86p to the Euro before any sort of bounce back.

NAWWWWWWWWWWHHHH not 86p, ill be a pauper but I dont think Gordon will enter the Euro, entry will be a political dicision based on the governments popularity, its evident to most people that for financial reasons we should have joined the euro 10 years ago. Brown is not popular enough to take unpopular decisions like joining the euro. If Cameron gets in with a big majority he may be brave enough but he would have to take on a lot of criticism from within the Tory party.
I worked on a voluntary basis for the labour party to get Blair elected and it was well known then that he wanted to join the euro but Brown wanted to exercise some power and he argued against it and Blair to stop a public row relented, pity I think. But beleive me Brown will not join the euro unless he gets a massive majority next election and that I fear is unlikely.

Heh heh

It can't happen. If it did, the country would be in so much trouble it would be untrue. What about all the trade between the UK and Euro countries? It would completely go to pot as the export and import balance was effected

Yup @ 1.27 for the first time in ages today!

I've noticed a trend the past few months that the rate gets to its highest on Friday so if anyone needs to do xfers it might be worth waiting till then if at ll possible.
