DIPLOMA TRANSLATION! PLEAAAASEEEEE HELP!!!!!!
i am moving to abu dhabi soon for a job. my last step is to translate my diploma and authenticate the translation with the seals of the US state department and the UAE embassy in the states...
has anyone done this before???
how do i attach the translation???
Hi up and away!
Great to have you on the forums, and good to see a few more US nationals joining us in Abu Dhabi.
Translations - the easiest way is to use a local attestation service in your home city - Costs a few, but these places tend to do it quicker and with less hassle than doing it yourself.
All they actualy need is a translation done at an "official" translators (stamped etc) then this translation is attached to a copy of your diploma. these two documents are verified through both your state dept and uae embassy stamped at each place - and that's it.
For many years all this was done after arrival in the UAE (stamped at your embassy here) but they seem to have tightened the requirement this year and are looking for attested translations before you get on the ground.
Just another hoop to jump through, but no problem.
Good luck with the rest of your move.
