Holiday home owner needs fiscal representitive

Post Posted: Sun Jul 06, 2008 4:52 am

solicitor has informed this owner that they cannot be their fiscal representive any more. they have suggested a company to act for them but the cost appears very high at 250 euro each for both due to brother and sister per year for one property. (500/year)
what can they do and where can they find information explaining who can represent them.

thanks

Why dont you do a google search on Fiscal Representation in Portugal could give you some outlets to pursue. There are lots of different companies charging different rates. Didnt know they charged per person.

Hmmm...I know of couples who pay €250 a year together for their fiscal representation, not each... €500 seems a lot! Confused

Quite possibly, yes. Not really thought about the implications of a brother/sister team owning a property before.

Being a fiscal rep is quite a big responsibility, so paying someone a fair amount for this duty is to be expected, I guess, even if at times they don't have to do all that much other than pass on bills to you.
