average completion time ?

Post Posted: Sat Oct 01, 2005 10:45 pm

Hi everyone !
We are in the process of buying a property in the pamporovo area does anybody know the average time from deposit to completion ?
we have been waiting since middle of july and just wondered what other peoples experiences have been, this is our first purchase so we are allowing time for setting up of business etc.

Hope someone out there can help and put my mind at rest as to wether we are being impatient.

Thanks Tony

Hello Tony,

That seems an awful long time, all the properties we have bought have completed in 2-3 weeks and we never use agents. We search the property we want by asking locals what is for sale, then set in motion with the seller and on all our 3 properties and 1 plot of land have all been completed between 2-3 weeks...............

That is a long time -- mine was through agents and was completed just over two weeks including the company formation stuff and opening euro account etc

Hi Tony

Yes, I agree, that does seem a long time....

I would think on average four weeks is plenty. Have you asked them why this is? What do they say?

Are you buying a property through Bulgarian properties by any chance? If so then you have been caught up in the same problem that we have. We have been waiting since June for our property near Pamporova to complete. I expect you might have some idea what is going on by now but getting the truth out of them is harder than pulling hens teeth.
