TEFL in Rabat?

Post Posted: Tue Nov 11, 2008 10:18 pm

Hello,

I'm moving to Morocco in March 09 and will be based out of Rabat. I have a teaching job there for 2 months but when this job is complete I would really like to earn my TEFL certificate. Does anyone know of a good program with legitimate credentials where I can earn my TEFL certificate? Any info is appreciated..also I see a few other people posting about apartments in Rabat. I was banking on just showing up, staying in a hotel or with friends for a bit, and then finding an apartment while I'm there. Is it a long process to get an apartment in Rabat, or is it something I can take care of quickly once I've arrived? Shokran bezaf!

I would check with both the American Language Center and Amideast in Rabat. If you have friends to stay with then you should have no problem finding an apartment once you get there either through an agency or just checking the local papers. Good luck.

Great, thanks very much. I actually contacted the American Language Center but never received a response. I will try Amideast though, thanks for your help

Hi saucey,

Are you considering to continue teaching while you are working through your TEFL program?

We are running a Berlitz center in Casablanca and will soon open a new one in Rabat for which we are actively recruiting (a teaching certificate is not required as we provide our own 2-week training).

Berliz is one of the leading names in language training worldwide. And once you are a certified Berlitz teacher, you can teach at any of the 500 centers worlwide.

If you are interested and available, please send me your CV at a.hessissen @ berlitz-maroc.com

Hope to hear from you soon!

A.
