I'm Mexican/American. I've been living in Egypt with my husband for about 6mths. And I think it would be great to meet Americans or Mexicans in Egypt. It does get a little lonely out here. So, I hope to hear from someone. Thanks.

HI U still live in Alex ?

Try the American Womens Association - meets on mondays at the Portuguese Club, Roushdy 10 am - 12 pm.

Got this from site www.expatsinalex.com - they have a forum too, which can get a little lively, and usually good for a laugh!

Portuguese Club, Roushdy:
Watering hole for expats. In Roushdy so frequented by many expats living in that area. Regular theme nights on Thursdays.

The AWA (American Women's Association group meets on Monday mornings 10 am – 12pm and there are occasional darts competitions.

Good selection of food, but the Heineken Draught is locally made (i.e. not the really good stuff).

Location: It’s pretty hard to without someone escorting you as there are no sign posts:
Start at fruit shop on Kafa Abdou / Horreya St junction, take first right, half way down the road there are white metal gates.
Ring the bell and wait.
10LE entrance charge, unless you're a member: Good membership rates for teachers.
