New to Rabat

Post Posted: Mon Nov 07, 2005 3:34 am

Hi and Salam,

I am a young american woman who recently moved to Rabat, MA (June 2005). My husband is Moroccan but currently working in the states while we finalize everything. I rented a small apartment in Agdal for myself and our 3 small children. I was just interested in getting connected with other american women living in Morocco, especially Muslims.

Salam Sweettea,

I am a Moroccan citizen presently living in Paris, France. Just wanted to say welcome to Morocco and best wishes for your stay there. You will sure find some American women in your situation, though it might take you time to find converts to Islam, but who knows? Everything is possible.

Good luck!

Go to the American Language Center. You will probably find other Americans married to Moroccans working there. There are also a few at the Rabat American School, and the British Council. If you go to the AWA Library (I believe it is loacted in Agdal), you will soon meet many others like yourself.
