Hi Jan & Harley,
Thanks for the info, do you know how much SNA235 was? We are looking forward to seeing the houses this week. Will let you know the outcome when we get back. We have looked on website and there are a lot we like the look of. We are lucky because Allan is a joiner and can do all the work himself, and I am handy with a sewing machine. I have just made roman blinds for twenty windows here plus the curtains. Will start on some duvet covers when we get back.If you need any help from here we will be happy to do what we can.If we buy a house in the Elhov, Yambol area we will stay there whist we do it up. Winters up here are very cold!!! and I am used to the sun. We will see you when you come over, if you want to come before your house is finished you can stay with us.
Take care, speak to you soon.

Hi I used www.bulgarianpropertygroup.co.uk, they send you details on all the best areas to buy. I think they only do rural houses. also I found www.mybghome.co.uk also quite good.

Hi Di
the house is 9810E. There were a lot for sale in that area and with your hubby being a joiner many more would be suitable as some needed quite a bit of work and some TLC. Another nice village was Svirkovo it's near Simeonovgrad - there were a lot there too. Wow! You have been busy with all your sewing. Great of you to offer to put us up, we don't have any fixed plans yet but Thank You in advance. And thanks for your offer of help. I try to help others as much as possible as well. Well, I better go and feed our two dogs as they're staring at me with hungry eyes. Good luck with the house hunting and I hope you enjoy your stay in Elhovo.

Hi Di

Thanks for your message on my post. The area around Rasovo and Lom is mainly agricultural and the way of life very traditional. Everything seems to be grown here from sunflowers, wheat, corn and many vegetables to fruits of all knids and being so fertile evrything flourishes.
The region itself is quite flat with just slight hills here and there and you can see the Stara Planina mountains in the distance.
The prices are cheap as it is only just being discovered by house hunters, we have 3 english families now in my village, i can send you some photos if you want of what is available if you tell me what sort of price ceiling you are looking at.
Don't want one of my puppies i suppose?
See the urgent appeal post if you do.

Regards

Diana

Hi Jan,
The restaurant was as you said, excellent. We didn't find a house that we liked, but met a great couple who live there, Norma & Allan. Did you meet then? We had to come back earlier that we wanted as the snow started and we knew we would be stuck. We will go back for another look soon though.
We have decided to do B&B here , we hope to get tourists who want to ski in Pamporovo as it is only a short distance away and the view where we live is really amazing. We also have great fishing here so we hope to do fishing holidays also. We have some land on a lakeside that is a top fishing place for the locals, and in a year we hope to build a couple of log cabins on it.
We hope to see you when you come back over, don't forget, if you need any help let us know. Norma & Allan will also help if you need it, they live in Granitovo so are near at hand.
Keep in touch.
