Hi there, we are moving to Cyprus at end of February, and we need a property to rent long term (3-5yrs) in the Pissouri, Erimi orn Kolossi areas.

If you know of any property for rent please can you let me know asap.

Thanks
Myrtle

Just wondered if any of the people who wrote posts in 2014 are any closer to making the move to Cyprus? Everything is so much easier now ie Immigration procedure, shipping over your personal effects and vehicle, plenty of choice in rental properties.

Please keep us updated.

Hi my name is Christine. I currently live in the UK but would live to relocate to Cyprus. My daughter got married there is 2014 and my husband and I fell I. Love with the place. We would love to live incyprus but as I am still working and work I. The criminal justice system I. The UK I was not sure how easy it would be for me to find employment. My husband took early retirement so he would be happy to potter about soaking up the sun having a nice garden etc. Has anyone any advice about being able to get work. I am sure the skills I have are very transferable into other areas of employment

Hi Christine

Most people who come to Cyprus to live are either UK pensioners or depend on private means for their income. As you are aware Cyprus is not a prosperous country and the wages are very low. I would say the tourism and hospitality industries are busy, but virtually close down over the winter (many hotels and restaurants close January - March). Most jobs require a second language eg Greek or Russian and there are many Eastern Europeans employed here on contracts. I feel your daughter would be able to find you more specific information as she knows your employment background and the amount of income you hope to receive.

Here is a link to some of the job finder websites:

Hi Christine

Just wondered if you are any closer to making the move to Cyprus? It is coming to the end of the main tourist season and many hotels will close in the New Year until March so this has a knock on effect on tourism related employment opportunities.

Anyway, good luck and hopefully we'll see you soon in Cyprus.
