Domestic appliance repairs

Post Posted: Fri Jan 08, 2010 12:54 am

We purchased a washing machine 3 years ago from a supermarket chain in Portamio which has since been taken over by Continent. It has had very little use and is out of warrenty. Worten sent out a guy to look at it. They are asking a total of 142 euro to repair. It appears to be the circuit board. We bought it new for 300.
Is this expensive?
Can anyone recommend someone who carries out repairs near Albufeira. What is the portuguese name for this job.
Any other advice welcome

Thanks

pat
