Hello Everyone
My name is Lic Giovanna Barrantes. I have been a member of this forum for close to one year.
I would like to make a few points if I may concerning "Is Costa Rica the place to retire"

The general outlook for Costa Rica is very positive. Why because many people from the US/Canada/Europe are already coming to retire/invest in Costa Rica.
90% of my clients are from outside Costa Rica.
Regarding home prices. We lag the US by a year or so I expect prices to fall in the next two years.
Their are great buys here in Costa Rica if you know where to find them.
The health system for the price is pretty good. You can buy into the Caja for less than $100 a month.
It all depends on your life style Costa Rica is the best bet in Central America and maybe South America.

I found the house prices to be high for me as well. I hope the prediction that the prices will be coming down is true. at some point it would be simply better to rent. Its easier to terminate a lease than to sell a property.
