working in libya

Post Posted: Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:01 pm

I may have an opportunity to work In Libya. I am an engineer. On these forums I have seen some communication which ranged to extremes one said that Libya was a black gole---others said that it is nice and rewarding in several ways. I woud appreciate your clean answers:

1. Is there an age limitaion for enginers to work? What is it, and is this cast in stone or maybe changed depending upon other factors?
1.Are company provided apartments fully furnished, including kitchen?
2. Are they air-conditioned. Is the power steady?
3. In Tripoli are the offices comparable to average office interiors in say Houston or similar. I do not mean exquisite furniture but pleasant and clean for long hours
4. Are the doctors reasonably qualified? Can medicines be bought over the counter, or do some require a prescription?
5.How is water quality? Coud you drink from say an office faucet?
6.From the office computer coud you keep in touch with CNN?
I have given you enough , please do the best you can, and thanks a lot!
