Dobrinishte and Bansko

Post Posted: Sat Dec 03, 2005 8:37 pm

Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy in Bansko or Dobrinishte for vacation and investment. I'd like to hear from folks who already bought in those villages or live there. I hear Dobrinishte will follow Bansko as a ski center. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi

We have just bought an apartment in Razlog - 5 mins from Bansko. I think that this has good rental potential as there is a £10 million dollar Ian Woosenam golf course being built near. We went out in November and it truly is a beautiful place with stacks of potential.

Hi all

Do be careful about these golf courses being built and also anyone who comes on here for the first time (and is clearly bulgarian from their post) and their first post is to try and sell you something

Cheers, Jain

Hi NYCE,

I have friends who live in Bansko and Banya and it was their opinion that the ski resort would develop the other way towards Razlog direction and although there were rumours about linking up with Dobrinishte no real evidence of anything and unlikely to happen. Everything seems to be going Razlog way with new golf course etc. The golf course is happening though I think as area was all fenced off etc when I last visited in May 05.

However Dobrinishte is a nice enough village with an excellent restaurant that used to have a pet deer running around (think it got a bit big and maybe have gone to the BBQ by now!) and had got some new bars and things. At the moment I think there is only one or two lifts though and a couple of runs.

It is not far from Bansko though so if you found something you liked you could still be in Bansko from Dobrinishte in under 10 minutes.

Rachel
