Hi Joan

Having moved over here in June this year my house has been totally transformed and is lovely. It helps having made a few Bulgarian friends who always know someone who can do a certain job. My garden was cleared by a young gypsy couple who worked 10 hours a day for very little and did an excellent job, as did the older couple who came to prepare the vines for the winter, the wife even bringing me a bunch of flowers and pot of home made jam. People in this area are very friendly and helpful, but then of course I am quite a novelty being the only English person here until next spring when 2 more couples are moving here. I ran into a problem with my septic tank as the original builder had not put it in properly, but a team of local lads have put in a new one, correctly this time and for about £75 not bad at all. I also have flickering lights at the moment which is not good, but have been promised that an eletrician will be coming in the next week or so to have a look, as it is all new wiring. Also had problems with the internet, but I have only to ring one of the lads from the company and they appear within the hour and resolve it at no cost whatsoever. They have even taken my computer when it devleoped a virus, cleaned it and fixed it all for the princely sum of £7.

Hope this helps, if you want to contact me by email you can do so on dianaslavcho @ hotmail.com and i will send you some before and after pics.
