living in ecuador

Post Posted: Thu Apr 01, 2010 11:38 pm

anyone? pros, cons, personal experiences?

i just came back from 11 days there. i stayed in ibarra. i am 58 and the sour usa economy has me thinking and planning for retirement. i found some townhomes in cotacachi that i really like and i hope to get one under contract soon. negotiations are under way.

i know ecuador is third world. for that matter, houston, where i live is becoming 3rd world. i can put up with the problems i've seen. i can certainly put up with the low cost of living i experienced in ecuador.

i am interested in anything anyone can tell me. email me personally rrr @ rodreese.com

thanks.
