Expat Clubs and Societies in Greece

When you move to a new country there is nothing worse than feeling isolated in an unfamiliar environment. With this in mind we are updating the expat groups section of the Expat Focus Country Guide for Greece.

Please would you share the details of any expat clubs or societies in your area? Details can be posted here by replying to this topic, sent directly to me by email on carole@expatfocus.com or submitted directly using the submission form.

Also, please don't forget to use the 'What's On' sub forum and our Greece Facebook group to add upcoming expat events, thank you!

Well... my group... Out of Towners.. Thessaloniki..
We are an on/off line social group, who like to go out , have some drinks etc... exchange info & have a fun time...
So come join this International friendly group... if you live in or are visiting Thessaloniki.. Greece....

I.W.O.G. International Women`s Organisation of Greece...
is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization which has two aims:

1. To support women who are temporarily or permanently in Greece, by offering assistance and support to integrate into the Greek culture by:

-group support
-opportunities to become involved with each other and in the community

2. To become a part of the local community by donating funds and volunteering time to charity.

IWOG as an organization has a PRESENCE In Thessaloniki.. ( see A.W.O.G. for Athens..)

Women from all around the world, with the English language as their common bond, meet once a month at Anatolia College... Ingle Hall, 2nd Wednesday of every month... coffee morning.. 2nd hand books on sale (in English & other languages..) open to members & non members.. ladies only (sorry ) all proceeds go to local charities...

T.O.W.E.R. Thessaloniki Organisation for Women`s Employment & Rescorses....is a non-governmental, not-for-profit network of women focusing on career development for the foreign woman in Greece. Women from every country are welcome as members.

This is NOT a Job agency....!!! this is a place to join exchange info for & about working in Greece.. Thessaloniki... ( I think Athens started their own group...) but Thessaloniki was first...!
