Business in Bulgaria

Post Posted: Mon Dec 26, 2005 6:20 pm

Hi, i'd like to hear some experiences about the procedure of establishing a business in BG. I found quite lots of info in the internet, however... is it true that the minimal capital for starting a business is 5,000BGN?

Yes, it's true, 5000 BGn is what you must have in order to set up a limited company. All other expenses (local fees) are some 200 leva. Once you set up the company you can withdraw the money back.

What about sole trading (ET)? I haven't found any info about it in the net. Do you know what is the cost of setting it up and what are actually the limitations?

What Kind of business are you enquiring about and are you thinking of buying a property, or are you just testing the water.

I have a Bar in Bourgas, It is quite a long process and a lot of taxes to be paid before you can trade.
The red tape is never endless but you get on top of it.

Hi
Just a thought, If you have bought a house or property with land, you have probably already set up a business. If you buy an apartment this would not have been applicable, but anyone else (non Bulgarians) should already have set up a company
