I would really like some tips. Will be in CR in September looking around. A question please: Is it really impossible to get to Golfito in September?

Tips huh! There are so many.
- Rent don't buy
- Learn Spanish
- Network like crazy
- Don't ask why!
- It is what it is
- Costa Rica is consistently inconsistent
- Pot holes... get over it
- Get a CR drivers license ASAP. Less hassles from cops

That's it for now. Hope this helps.
