Residency in Ecuador

Post Posted: Tue Oct 12, 2010 2:06 pm

Is it still true that purchasing a property worth $25,000+ in Ecuador is the only requirement for residency? If we are granted residency, is it permenant and are we permited to work in the country?

$25,000 CD will get you a resident visa. Add $500? onto the CD for each family member. Buying property will get you a resident visa too. But make sure the property purchased qualifies. As a resident, you can work.

You'll need an attorney that you can trust, depend on, and is reasonable.

There are many ways to get Permanent Residency in Ecuador. It depends on each personal possibilities but the most affordable way by far involve a 25K investment either on a bank CD or a property.
