New info on Visas/RP's & Health Insurance

Post Posted: Fri Dec 17, 2010 9:43 pm

I was at a residents meeting in Didim with British Consular staff last week.
To avoid recounting exactly what was discussed, below is the link to an article in Voices Newspaper from the same meeting.
It's mainly good news (for a change) and I hope that things move quickly.
The Consular official from Ankara (Susan) suggested that anyone due to renew or obtain a residence permit should obtain only a short term one which suggested (to me at least) that changes will be sooner rather than later.

I think there are others better qualified to answer that Ikeepforgetting.
As far as I am aware, you can bring your car into Turkey for up to 6 months at which time you have to take it out of Turkey for 6 months.
You would obviously need the correct paperwork and never having had to do it, I don't know what the paperwork is.

My apologies for responding to the wrong person......it must be an age thing!
Thanks for the additional information Ikeepforgetting. I believe that the customs fee if you leave the car in storage are not surprisingly hefty.
