Hello and welcome! Smile
I live in Izmir so haven't much info regarding Eskisehir for expats. It's an Anatolian city, very modern and uptodate, not too far from Istanbul, Izmir or Ankara. Hopefully you'll find the info you want . BTW have you got a job lined up or what's your situ?
Happy New Year!

Hi ikeepforgetting,

I have been to Eskisehir before, and loved it. My situations is that I need a school for my son grades 7 when move is final. Looking for school who lecture in English, but no luck finding there. I do not have any set job lined up either, but weighing my options in that department. I am a recent MBA grads and have too many interests and talents-guess need to sort them out first. Confused
Izmir is one of my favorite cities (state). How is it working out for you living there? What is your story? Smile

H there. Well I've been in Izmir more years than I care to count! Smile
Many factors ınfluence the way expats deal w/life and living in a place like TR. For example I'm married to TR guy so we sent our children to regular state schools.
Many totally foreign families would not dream of doing this, they try to send the kids to fee paying schools ( immersion in Eng generally).
I became Turkish and have dual nat.
I'm fine w/what we've done. I worked and still do some part-time. But our family is quite used to things here and I feel I fit in ok although I'm quite Eng/Irish when it suits me! LOL!
TR in some aspects and cities is quite European nowadays, years ago even Izmir was very different from the UK!
