Documentation required for updating bank account information

Post Posted: Fri Apr 20, 2012 5:23 am

I have two bank accounts at BCR identified by my passport number (not my residency cedula) and may need to update/confirm my information with BCR. What documents might be required? I have a letter from the SSA that is proof of income and my passport. My utilities (electricity/water) bills come in the name of my S.R.L.and not my personal name. Would a persona juridica be required, also?

Shocked Well, I got the answer to my questions today when I went to the bank to ensure my information was correct. In order to complete this work I needed:
a CURRENT persona juridica (less than 30 days old) from a lawyer that confirms my identity
a utility bill which includes my address
a statement FROM AND ACCOUNTANT that verifies my income - the letter from Social Security, by itself, is not accepted

I was able to run around town and get the first and third documents and, after several hours of additional wait, successfully updated my accounts. Whew! And this has to be done about every two years. But now I know how to prepare!
