Help sort on Tax Forms please.

Post Posted: Wed Feb 15, 2006 7:08 pm

We are going to see an accountant tomor with regard to the tax returns, we are very unsure of what we need to ask etc. We have our residency cards, but I think the agent closed the company bank account . Do we have to have it open? What do we need to say to the accountant? Our agent is not interested in us now we have bought the house. We do not have a clue as to how we sort out doing this properly, any advise will be gratefully received.

Not sure where Chokmanovo is - presumably your account will just need to fill in a 'nil' tax return for your company as if it was just used to buy your house it is not used for trading. I would take all your company registration documents, bulstat card, details of your bank account even if now closed and eveything you have, then you are prepared hopefully. My accountant just needed all my company registration details and my bulstat card and tax ID number to do mine. Can't remember about bank accounts - I think she made a note of them though.

Hi Dizzie, If you get the chance, try to find out if the agent closed the company account.

Don't be frightened of asking the accountant anything you want to know. Basically he should know when he has to get the accounts in and should be able to tell you everything you need to know... so keep asking !!!

Good luck and let us know how you go...

You can use Properties guide Ltd. They have offices in the biggest cities in Bulgaria. Contact them at accountancy @ properties-guide.com
They provide accountancy and tax return for companies in Bulgaria investing in Bulgarian properties

I dont see how anyone closed your bank account?
You dont have to have one after your property is bought but it is very useful to keep one
Basically you need someone to fill out the form your job is to sign and stamp all the places required (10 or more)
I have a friend who fills it out for me , sends it to me for me to sign and send back, the agent I used wanted 450euros for this but 75- 100 is more usual for a solicitor to do it for you
